With Tryon Medical Partners, we had the unique opportunity to brand a medical practice from scratch – stat!

The urgency came from a ticking clock. Mecklenburg Medical Group was a multispecialty practice within a large regional healthcare system in Charlotte, NC. Nearly 100 doctors made the decision in 2018 to create a new independent, physician-owned practice. But they were starting from scratch, from branding to office space. And without an identity, there couldn’t be patients. 

That’s when they enlisted the help of Kcomm.

We came on as agency of record to handle all marketing, advertising and public relations. It started with a name (honoring the original founder’s location on Tryon Street in Uptown Charlotte) and an identity (incorporating a medical cross formed by symbolically connected arrows), and continued with positive PR coverage as new medical clinics throughout the region were secured. Patients by the tens of thousands joined the new Tryon Medical Partners, embracing the idea of an independent practice focused squarely on the patient-doctor relationship.

Advertising and marketing efforts include a clean, modern website, announcement ads in all major publications, and an extensive digital marketing and social media campaign. Our PR efforts were recognized with a top prize at the awards ceremony of the Charlotte chapter of PRSA (Public Relations Society of America). Together with Kcomm, the region’s largest independent medical practice quickly found its identity, its voice and its heart.
